Description

This Irish Single Malt belongs to the genus of the so-called Poitins, a precursor of whiskeys. As one of the first spirits ever produced, this specialty could thus be described as "The Mother of Whiskey". The name "Moonshine" derives from the fact that the production of poitins was banned in Ireland in 1740. Illegal distillers operated in the moonlight of night to stay clear of legal authorities. The spirit has a sweet aroma of berries, raisin, and marzipan. A warm and creamy finish that is simply out of the ordinary.
