"Mimori", Japanese Pure Malt Whisky
This whisky was given the name "Mimori", which essentially means "three woods" in Japanese. This is because the pure malt was stored in ex-bourbon barrels, sherry barrels and barrels made from Japanese Mizunara Oak". Mizunara Oak is very scarce as the tree grows in sharp curves and takes a long time to mature.
The composition of the woods gives this Japanese whisky a rich flavour profile. Heavy influences of sweet grains and malty dried fruits. The finish is rounded off with a pleasantly light touch of smoke and honey.
